Water

All  new build properties and conversions are required to have a Water Calculation report showing that they comply with Building Regulations. Please see the link to The Building Regulations 2010, online version – “Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency”. Meeting water consumption targets can be divided into fittings based and recycling based considerations. If installing smart efficient fittings, this may add to the cost of a new dwelling. Water softeners, will increase the life of fittings, but will also increase the water consumption per person. Recycling strategies can be used in combination with efficient fittings, to achieve a challenging water consumption target.
